No dream is ever too big. Some dreams just take more effort on your part to fulfill them. If you are a talented writer and you are interested in writing go for it. Be prepared for some times that you may need another job to pay the bills, but writing is perfectly respectable. The bookstores are full of people who dreamed of being an author. There's always room for another.

Not at all. That is an admirable vocation. But be sure to study hard and you will probably need an out side job until your first book is published. Let us know when it is finished. Read a lot of books on the type of writing you want to do. If possible contact the authors and ask them how they became an author and ask if they have any suggestions. You will probably get more negative responses than positive ones but do what you feel you are called to do.

Well...may be this answers helps you more than any other answer in ur list. I am into the Writing Profession, not exactly an author, but I can guide you through. First of all, there are different kinds of writers. Your writing capability can be used as an author, a journalist, report-writer, freelancer, technicel writer and so many more professions. So, it is just vey normal that the writer in you is calling and its just not justified calling it stupid. To begin with, you need to do the following:
a) reaslise your potential.
b) improve on ur English
c) fit yourself in a commercially viable situation in which being an author can serve you a job.
d) Start reading book, articles and magazines
e) start writing
f) Share your writing pieces with someone who is into this profession.
g) Share with ur frends
h) Get a feedback from them
g) Best of Luck to u ;-)

Becoming an author means that you have a long way to go - you have to learn how to SPELL, and GRAMMAR is always a requirement - but short repetitive sentences like you have in your questions are definitely a NO - NO. Oh, yes, authors do not, no never do they say "like" unless they are using it in a comparative tense. If you don't know what I am speaking about, perhaps you should grow up first.

You can be whatever you want to be. If you really want to be a writer, Write. Write about what you know, Look up Publishing Companies on the web. Submit your work for them to give you guidance. Don't give up if you're rejected. Keep trying, and make it happen. You can do it if you want it badly enough.
