Being a friend can turn a friend into a girlfriend. How to be a friend is to be consistent. Always be you, not what your friends want you to do or say. Say hi with a little smile when you see her, even if there's no time to talk. Always be there when she says or acts like she wants to say more. Be interested, though if shes fake, it's not worth the trouble, shes not mature enough to be a friend or girlfriend. Actually listen and have open opinions (gentle) is she asks you or needs a (of course) heart to heart shoulder. Girls do that, they like guys that listen, tell them it will be OK, but mean it and can sympathize. Not just the nodding and the rolling of the eyes....you lose if you do this. Always show how you feel on your face with her, she knows if you like her or care by how you look (body language), not just by speaking. Be happy to see her. Say sorry and you will get back to her if you need to go, say when you will get back, and make it happen, say sorry if you didn't get back as you said you would. Make up for it by asking for her to sit with you and say what's up. The key is consistent, and be happy to see her. In the movie Weird Science they made a girlfriend with their computer and a magazine... If you're talking about how to find a girlfriend you need to get off the computer and start getting out around people your age... Don't try too hard though- women can spot a man on the prowl a mile away.

Get to know as many girls as you can at school, church, through friends, by joining clubs and volunteering (lots of girls in Habitat for Humanity), sports, hobbies, walking your dog, etc. etc. You won't get hit if you don't go out in traffic.
