I totally agree with you. These people have to "identify" themselves in many ways, because they can't stand up and be counted for what, if anything they believe in, or have any original thoughts.
It's easier to just "follow the crowd" and be a sheep.
Last time I checked, you can't smoke anywhere If you want, even near a public building.
To those non-smokers, you are to blame for just about everything wrong with the world... just so they may feel "better" about themselves.
What's the point.. you are on a break.
These self-appointed guardians of "safety" are the same clowns who blow through red lights yakking on cell phones, among other far more dangerous behaviors.
As for "second hand smoke"... that's another load of crap.
Follow the money when you hear that nonsense.
Consider the source: The same week minded, self appointed, "I know better than you" week minded individuals.
Yeah, your "second hand smoke" around a pregnant woman is somehow going to cause her, and the baby, "SIDS" and every other thing that can go wrong.
As though you are deliberatly blowing smoke in their faces...
come on....
Yeah right.
Check all the kids born before 1965.
Parents smoked like trains back then compared to today.
They're pissed because you enjoy yourself, and they are the ones with a problem.
Bottom line: You smoke, so that makes you "stupid"... and they have such a shallow existence that they need to "educate you".
It sucks. I wish they would just back off.

considering they're already making us stand outside in all kinds of weather and bitching when we come back in that we smell like smoke? Here's a list of snappy answers:
No kidding? we've only been hearing that crap since 1984!
quitting smoking now adds two years on to my life--but they're at the very end when I'll be hooked up to machines and have forgotten my own name-who wants two more years of that?
I'm going to go outside and kill myself for five minutes, okay?
But I'm not pregnant or nursing?
I'm very stressed out--talking to me about my smoking is hazardous to YOUR health

It's your own business, until it starts to affect other people, which is what second hand smoke does. It's actually more dangerous to the people around you than to you. They're probably just concerned about their health. If you're smoking in an area and they walk up to you or come near you then it's on them.

It's just bad Etiquette. For many people it irritates there lungs. It's much easier for you to walk away from a croud of people, when you wanna smoke than it is for the croud to have to walk away. If you want to smoke in your house, your car, etc. By all means go ahead. But you never know who is in the croud who may be pregnant, allergic, Have asthma, emphmazia... Oh and where on earth did you hear that you would have to breath like 100 breaths..??? Thats the biggest crock of bull I ever heard! But Thats why!!!

Smoke yourself to death- nobody cares as long as you keep your toxins contained so others don't get poisoned too.
OK then if you don't agree with the poisoning our air argument- smokers have an overwhelming stench and it makes us gag.
I think smokers are just mad because they are addicted to cigarettes and can't quit. Billions of dollars spent every year proves that most smokers want to quit...Smokers are WEAK. One day you'll be desperate to quit and won't be able to.
Here is an example of how pathetic smokers are:
I was in line at walmart and this man was desperate for a pack of cigarettes but only had a handful of change- he told the clerk to get him a pack of the cheapest they had...You should have seen him trying to dig around to find enough money for cigarettes!! I'm sure he chose smoking over food that day- How retarded is that?? Yeah- I'm so jealous.

Funny story - my elderly Mom (who had to quit smoking last year-health reasons) said that if she finds out that she is about to die she is going to buy a carton of cigarettes, a bottle of Jack Daniels and a case of candy bars - and sit at the end of her driveway - light up, take a drink, eat chocolate and flip people off as they drive by. My mom is 78! That's how pissed off she is about people telling her what she can and can't do.

How retarded are you, really???
Frankly I've got better things to do than convince smokers their habit is killing them. There is enough warning on TV, books, internet, even on the cigarette boxes (duh!). Keep on smoking and by all means don't stop. Just stop babbling and whining like an ignorant idiot that your second-hand smoke just magically disperses in the air and doesn't hurt anyone. When your smoke affects the health of others, damn right it makes it our business.

By all means smoke all you want. But just don't put me in the situation where I have to breathe it. I use to smoke a pack and a half a day which I enjoyed my cigerette breaks. But since I quit I don't want people to smoke around me I didn't smoke around people who didn't like it. So as long as your in the smoking section then by all means kill yourself all you want.
