Aww! Poor boyfriend of seven years! He will cry his eyes out when he finds out. What's it with ladies? What's up with the abrupt break up after seven year? Anyways, at least you care to make it painless as possible, but I can't think of any method that wouldn't make a sudden breakup of a seven years relationship painful.

I don't think anyone can give you a concrete answer to this question. So I recommend you take a little bit of everyone's advice and think this one out since only you have in depth knowledge of his personality and how he will take the news.
My advise, invite some friends over while he's away, pack up his stuff & leave it on the curb... change the locks & take a week vacation somewhere nice like Cancun. :)

BE HONEST!!!
If you dont love him anymore, just tell him so... put yourself in the others shoes... what would you expect if it was the other way around?
Grown ups dont use fights or tantrums to break up, we use reason and talk... just open up and say what you need to say and if you have been in a respectfull relationship, know that he will understand and leave... no one stays where they are no longer welcomed!!! Good luck!

ok I could say i honestly do no longer think of you may destroy up with him. I thoroughly disagree with the 1st answer. you like one yet another, and basically through fact he hasn't proposed yet does no longer propose he wont propose. i do no longer think of you may tension him, he will propose while he's waiting i think of. I believe the 2d answer. If he did no longer opt to be with you and could no longer see himself being with you sooner or later he does no longer stay with you. i think of he does opt to get married yet isn't waiting

wow... i don't even know! does he show any signs of feeling this way too? this must be hard... i know this isn't good advice, but what i would probably end up doing is waiting for a fight and turn it into something bigger and break up over it... but i don't suggest that... not very mature! maybe tell him you want to see other people or somehting.. i dunno!
