Yes, as long as you have met and are comfortable with the adults in the home.

Wow, that's some rough life there. As for you kid's sleepover, you should out check his buddies and see if they're weird. Also, it's best to sleep over at a place where his buddies are at or around his age, so as to not have any "happenings". The best policy is to have total adult supervision because it may be the best way to ensure your kid's safety. :] (Hope nothing crazy happens!)

well that is terrible for the both of you. my daughter is 3 and the only place i would let her sleep is with my parents. at 4 1/2 i think thats too young to be staying at friend's houses and as for relatives that all depends, but i'd say only if its necessary...as for the 9 year old he seems as if he should be old enough to sleep at friends or relatives homes but if it makes you uncomfortable dont let him.

NO way! Usually once an abuser always an abuser and if someone abused me there is no way in heck I'd let my kid even go to their house or talk to them for any reason.

I think that if anyone that will be at the house that was a party to the abuse in any way, then you should put your foot down and not allow him to go.

Why don't you suggest that the cousin sleepover at your house? everyone wins in that situation.

if you have doubts, which you obviously do, i'd refrain from allowing it. ... at least for the time being... you DO have just cause for concern, and personally, i would not permit my child to in this circumstance.
