Please don't hurt yourself. Suicide won't get rid of your pain, it will just pass it on to those you leave behind. I've lost family to suicide, and a part of you never heals. It's not like other deaths - it stays with the people you leave behind. You are loved, don't forget. You can't live only for others, but you shouldn't die only for yourself.
If you can't talk about it to someone near you, call this number. Listening is what they do, and they respect and understand your feelings right now. Some of them have even been right where you are now:
1-800-273-8255
(1-800-273-TALK)
Someone else responded below asking you to call them right away if you have no where else to turn. Her screen name is Ihave5katz.

I feel the same way sometimes. I was diagnosaed with major depression 2 years ago. Medication and counseling help so my first suggestion would be to reach out and get some help. Do you have a plan? If so go to the nearest ER immediately. Most doctors and nurses are very understanding and would rather see you asking for help than after you have started something you may not be able to stop. You will probably get a lot of answers here from people saying "don't do it! life is too short" or "think of all the people that love you". These are both true and should be considered but if you are thinking about it all the time, you will get very little comfort from answers like these. Suicide is a very selfish act, but sometimes it seems the only way out. NEWSFLASH: It's not--there are other ways. I definately understand. My answer is still GETHELP!! GET HELP!! GET HELP!! The sooner the better.

I have to say I am very proud of all the people that answered this persons cry for help. I saw a link to this question from the yahoo help forums and thought for sure I would come on here to find a bunch of idiots suggesting this person go through with it. I have to admit, I am astounded. All of you put out some kind of plea for the asker to reconsider, and no one took this as a joke, be it one or not. Well done yahoo answerers.
Asker, take serious consideration and read each persons answer completely.
As one pointed out, none of them know you, yet they feel your pain more than you know and would seriously like to offer help. Now is the time where you need to decide to take it or not. I would highly suggest you do and find someone to talk to about this as soon as possible.
At one point in my life, I was seriously considering the same option due to several circumstances that I felt were beyond my control.
Only by seeking attention / drawing attention to myself as you have done, was I able to overcome these feelings and seek help.
Life is too precious of a thing to waste. While it might seem beyond worth living at this very moment, it is not. No problems can be worse than simply no longer existing. Think of all the positive things you have to look forward to in life and dwell on those instead of the situation at hand which is upsetting you so much. Consider also that you, as a person, have a lot to offer others, whether you can see that right now or not. You simply being there is a statement that you care about others and yourself.
I hope if this was a serious question, that some of the answers from the absolutely wonderful people above, and hopefully mine as well will make you pause and reconsider your current course of actions.
If you need someone to talk to, other than the people above, you may also write me. I have very large ears, and there is nothing they like to do more than listen. I have all the time in the world, and you're welcomed to as much of it as you need.
My email address is iswd1@yahoo.com or admin@antiqueshoppingguide.com (Longer, but I check it much more often).
Good luck, and try and be at peace.

PLEASE DON'T DO IT If you go to the hospital they can help you I Promise. Sometimes there are some chemicals that can get mixed up the wrong way in our brain that can cause thoughts like this to happen do not act on these thoughts because they are not right. The doctors can give you medicine that will stop this from happening. the thoughts and feelings will go away with this medicine. please go to the hospital right now and know that there are people that care about you

Every area in the US has a free crisis line, and a Hospital Emergency room, both are likely to be open 24/78, and are required to provide service to you. Either call the crisis line, using the number from information or the phone book, or go to the emergency room, now!

Read this: http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/
Call these folks and talk to them. 1-800-SUICIDE* 1-800-273-TALK
Their website:http://suicidehotlines.com/
You wrote looking for help... so contact these folks and let them at least try and help you.
Someone in your life will be devastated for the rest of their lives, if you take yourself out. So try to stick around and see how the story ends... it might end up better than you thought... and after you survive "this" ordeal, you might consider writing a book about it. You never know, you might end up helping someone else out...

you know what can really help you is going to a psychiatric unit.i know it may sound crazy like i am not going their kind of thought but it really helps i know because i was sent their for an eating disorder.it really helps because they give you help in how you can change those thoughts into something positive either than suicide they give you alternatives todo when feeling this way.Another choice would be talking to someone like me because i know how it feels to want to kill yourself i have been their so the best choice to do is tell someone you trust likea best friend or someone close even a psychologist.FROM MY EXPERIENCE IN THE PSYCHE WARD I HAVE LEAZRNED THAT LIFE IS ABOUT LEARNING FROM YOUR MISTAKES AND THAT TO CHANGE IT ONE MUST SEEK SOMETHING POSiTIVE.

You can probably think of 100 reasons why suicide may seem to be the answer and it's permanent, but all you need is one reason not to do it. If that one reason keeps popping up it must be important enough to listen to it. Find someone you trust and talk to them.
