I think we all agree on the fact that some of them cross the border illegally and give birth to children, right?

So if they have their baby in a hospital, who exactly pays the bill? While most of them are poor and looking for work, I find it very hard to believe they pay the bill in cash, out of their own pocket. We're talking thousands of dollars. Someone is footing the bill. Who is it?

Are they receiving government assistance?

The tax payers are. In Maryland last year illegal aliens cost the tax payers (Maryland tax payers) $44 MILLION that was JUST for Health(emergency) Care. There are sites that have how much they are costing us, just google it. Here's the article about MD http://www.washtimes.com/metro/20040922-100007-3972r.htm
Heres an article where some Texas Hospital is thinking about sending a bill to Mexico, make them pay the medical bills for its citizens.http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060718/ZNYT02/607180423

Technically, someone who isn't a citizen of the United States can not recieve welfare, however, the welfare offices give it anyway. In fact, I know a person who works in a welfare office in Wisconsin, and they're specifically instructed to not ask about their citizenship.

Of course, illegal immigration would only be a problem for law enforcement if it wasn't for the fact that the left was turning our country into a socialist state. Before quotas were in place, you basically just had to register, and if you were severely sick or something else, you wouldn't be allowed in, but if you snuck in, it wasn't really a problem, because you weren't getting anything for free, you still had to work for what you had, which is a far better and far more free system, with the proper protections to uphold governmental obligations of course.

Yes, they get government assistance. I don't have a strong opinion on either side of this debate, all I want to say is that I'm a single American mom with 2 kids who can't afford the health insurance my company offers (almost $800 a month, yes you read that correctly) but makes too much to "qualify" for any state help such as our texas CHIP program. But I promise taxes are being taken out every pay day so that other peoples children are well taken care of. IT SUCKS!!! I just had to pay $120 for my daughters sports physical....very touchy subject.

that assertion could be real, yet those self same illegals who've little ones on those lands then have little ones who're individuals and for this reason are eligible and do actually acquire welfare and foodstuff stamps for those little ones additionally those little ones who have been escorted into the country as illegals do pass to college in this us of a that's paid for by your sources taxes so please provide up telling lies approximately them no longer receiving public counsel they do. a lot of them use fake identity to earnings welfare. you in basic terms want one SS selection to acquire counsel for the completed relatives.

My god soo many misinformed posts here. Only 2% of illegals pick crops? gimme a break..stop reading/ visiting those propaganda sites will ya?

Now some facts, you can only get welfare if you have a social security number and a valid ID. Now if it its fake then you might get away with it for a little while. If you have a child ( anchor baby) you will get benefits but ONLY for the child, not the family.

Social Security benefits. It's almost impossible for an illegal to recieve them. There is simply too much red tape involved. They can pay into SS but getting it is highly improbable.

Often the state. Also then the kid is eligible for food stamps and the family may be eligible for 'aid to dependant families' and in some cases medicaire etc.

Strictly speaking they don't so much use welfare for the parent, but if the child gets money to assure housing, the child isn't the only one who lives in it.

The do receive support....but everyone seems to forget about the Arabic community....right outside of Detroit (Dearborn) pregnant women fly in to Detroit just to give birth at Oakwood Hospital, so there off springs can receive support and if the child is born in America....they get to stay too.....

Yes illegal aliens are getting welfare.
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking crops but more than 42% are on welfare.

AND IT NEEDS TO GET CUT OFF!
