I am 12 and my parents said i can get a belly button peircing do you think i should?

Your body does still have so much growing to do. It will grow out, then there will be a scar, and they will not re-pierce through scar tissue, its too hard, and it hurts way more. so you go to get it re-done maybe 1 year later, pay another 50-70$$, only to have it grow out again. I have had mine pierced 5 times, it grew out 3. (this is all in relatively the same spot) It will save you money, and look WAY better on you if you wait until you are 17 or 18. another thing to think about is it will be getting caught on your clothes...and i assume you are in school, and must have some sort of gym class. It takes a belly button piercing at least 6 months to heal properly. before that, if you take it out, the hole will start to close immediately. and it will hurt when you SHOVE it back through. it will also get infected alot as it heals, if you have to take it out, or get it caught often.

Your too young to get your belly button pireced. I'd wait until I was 16 or even maybe 18... Lots could go wrong at your age right now.. My daughter wants hers done also and is only10 but I told her when you get a job and are 18 years old then ok..
But your parents aren't me

If you can't get it on your own then your to young. You still have a lot of growing to do. Your skin is going to stretch and everything. I would at least wait till I was 15 if you just have to have it.

honey...!!! you are too young to be getting your belly button pierced now, let a few years go by, then you are able to decide the pro's and con's of having your navel pierced..

i think u are too young, ur 12 and u will still grow and the piercing may grow out wait a few years. dont rush it.

well really who am i to tell you whats wrong or right, if your parents say o.k with them then do it. don't worry what every one thinks about you or say a belly piereing is not for a young girl. IT'S CALLED LIVING LIFE WHILE YOU YOUNG.

You should wait until you're at least 18. Thats the legal age in most states.
