i have no idea. those ppl must be of incredible inner strength and faith. i know that if i lost someone like that, i would feel like my life was over, and i'd probably lose it and do everything i could to make the person responsible suffer horribley and die. i know that sounds awful, but i dont know if i'd be able to ever regain composure.
i wish them the best, and i hope that some kind of good can come from the horrible tragedy they had to experience.

They have amazing faith in the Lord and draw upon that faith to give them strength. There whole lives are religion based. i know for me I couldn't do it and that hatered is would be my burden.
The one thing we have to realizes is that the forgiveness does not make it okay but releases the hate they feel so they can feel peace for there children. May God bless those families.

That's the way we are all supposed to be. Not judging, but forgiving. We are all supposed to love one another. These people are doing that no matter how difficult it may be for them. If anyone has ever lost a child, you know the pain. But how much harder would it be to have your child murdered?

easily they can forgive him because they can say it was gods will and to hat ethe man would only make their lives more miserable not saying that they are condoning what he did but living in hatred makes you bitter and if they don't they cant make peace with the fact that thier child is now in a better place.

Damned if I know...
Maybe because the Amish have a tremendous amount of faith, and really LIVE what they claim to believe...unlike so many.
Couldn't do it myself...but sure respect them for their handling of this terrible tragedy.

They are just loving and forgiving people. I know I wouldn't if that happened to my children. They believe in non hate towards others and killing.
