What is the best gravy to make brand wise etc to make like if you were having company, Like white gravy with sausage and biscuits, and beef gravy over rice. Thank you.

Skim the fat from the meat drippings, keep the meat drippings in the pan and then add a jar of gravy to them. They will keep the flavor of the gravy more like homemade.

scratch is the best. easier than you think too.
if you are doing sausage and gravy here is how
first fry sausage
take sausage out when done leave grease in the skillet
add all purpose flour and use a wisk to stir, keep pan VERY hot while stirring, let flour and grease mixture brown a little
next slowly add milk while continuously stirring with wisk until you have consistensy of gravy add salt and pepper for taste put sausage back in the gravy.
its yummy. hint if your gravy ends up lumpy put it in the blender works every time. good luck.

Gravy is easy to make. Check out the Food Network link below. It takes about the same about of time as a packaged mix and tastes way better.

I never use packaged gravy. I've seen McCormicks and other brands but never used any. I usually make my own from scratch.
