most definitely have the salon do it. i am a licensed cosmetologist for 15 years. we use products that protect the hair from thermal abuse and also use the advanced ionic dryers and brushes that are safer for the hair!

Well my first thought is are you only washing your hair every two weeks? But i would say it be less damaging for you to do it. Use a diffuser and that will keep some of the heat off the hair and dry it more slowly.

I would say letting a salon do it is the best since they have all of the quality products and they know how to brush it in a way that won't split hair.

As long as you use a good protector in your hair it should be fine with either way.
