You didn't give us a lot of information. Is one of you old enough to drive? If so, movies are always safe. If you know everyone is on the active side, roller blading, skateboarding are good options. There are also fun things to see at the mall. Go window shopping, then take in a movie and go to a favorite place to eat afterward.
The important thing is to keep the date casual, especially if it's a first date. Save the heavy sexual stuff for when you're a twosome.

Its fun to do some sort of interactive dining like Fondue (Melting Pot) or Benihaha.
I think it is best to have an activity where you can talk (no movies) but there is not too much pressure to talk.
