I am a little confused . How did you get a daughter without knowing who her mother is. Is She adopted? was she conceived Thu artificial insemination or are you just trying to see how many people out there will fall for this joke? You must know her mother she carried your child and gave birth to your child and you got your child from her. A woman can have a child and not know the name of the dad if it was a one night stand or Rape or other such circumstances. but not the man.

If there is a chance that your daughter's mother might show up, I believe you should tell her that her mother had to go away but she loved her very very much. You don't want the child to feel that the mother abandoned her. (even if that's the truth) Also try to have female influence in her life to model after. Both male and female influence on a young girls life is very important in her development.

Dude...wats up wif dat question, do u have sex wif some woman while drunk. Then all these nine months, u are living a happy life until u found a baby wif a note attach to the basket on ur doorstep that read, "Hey its me, the one u had sex wif nine months ago while u are drunk. Where did you get the child from then. Is she adopted? If you really don't know the mother tell her when she asked where she came from.

well tell her that you are her mother untill she gets older then you could tell her the truth. if you tell her now it may have an impact on her life. it's better to tell her the truth when she gets older.

that doesn't make sense. i can understand not knowing who the father of the child is, but it's impossible to not know who the mother is.
