I had a crush on this guy named josh and my friend finally convinced me to ask him out. so at lunch i went up to him and asked him if he wanted to go to the movies and he said no because he thought i was ugly and a geek....should i try another guy or just not date?

I think HE is the GEEK here. He is an ugly person inside by being cruel to you for no good reason, when he should be flattered. But being rejected is unfortunately a part of life but it makes us stronger thankfully. You should wait for boys to ask you out or hang out in a group of friends, girls and boys, that way you can build a friendship with a few boys. Then you'll know who is a jerk and who isn't and then you can go for the guy who isn't a jerk.

next time don't have a friend run interference for you. another girl will set you up for crap sometimes. just ask the guy yourself after you've tried flirting with him a little bit. if he doesn't flirt back, move on. sounds like josh is a defective dirt bag with issues. you are probably very pretty, but he's just sick and evil.

first off let me tell you please do not let these punk *** ****** shoot you down and for him to even go there proves hes a jerk trust me you can find yourself a guy with much more class then what he showed you by being a jerk dont let what he told you discourage you ok leave him alone my response would have been oh well im sorry you feel that way NEXT and i would have kept it moving and the next day when i would have saw him i would have made sure i look fly and i would walk right pass him not even looking back ....hes the one who aint **** good luck girl and dont give up ok ......E
