I have seen many people complain about others who eat animals on this site, yet I don't see them giving any alternative uses for the same animals we're not supposed to eat.

What would you do with the chickens if we didn't eat them or their eggs? You don't agree with killing them, or if you're a strict vegie, you won't eat their eggs (or anything that comes from an animal) so what do you suggest? Just let these millions of chickens go free to live in the wild? Leave them their eggs so that every day you have a chance at more and more chickens being hatched?

Same goes for any other animals. I see all of you complain about it, but like I said, no one has any better ideas. Are you going to go buy a massive farm and raise all of these animals you don't want eaten and wait for them to die of natural causes? Somehow I do not see that happening.

Humans are animals, any way you look at it. We are carnivores. We are designed to be meat eaters. What do you suggest as an alternative??

So far 2 people calling me an idiot and one claiming we were not meant to be meat eaters.

Actually, if you know anything about biology, our teeth are meant for ripping and chewing meat. Your front teeth do the ripping, your back teeth are for grinding the meat/whatever else into small chunks easy to swallow.

What do you think man did before fire was discovered? Do you think they lived on vegies? If so, why did they need tools to hunt animals with such as spear heads and arrow heads? Sure, cooking meat makes it more pleasurable to eat, but we are just as capable of eating raw meat.

If this were not the case, how many sushi businesses would go out of business?

You really should consider your answers more carefully before you submit them, it will make you seem like much less of an idiot yourself.

We're actually OMNIvores...we're flexible like that and designed to love veggies too.

I doubt everyone will ever be vegetarian. I suppose we could stop crazy massive breeding programs, slapping animals into tiny cages, and injecting them with yummy hormones as sort of an alternative.

Why not just breed them less? It's a start.

We aren't designed to eat animals. If we were we would have teeth like a lion. We would be able to eat raw meat with all the guts without our bodies becoming sick. We wouldn't be getting fat off of all the meat we eat.

You sir, are an idiot if you think that there would be an over population of animals if we stopped eating them. The only reason there are so many cows and chickens is because farmers breed them like crazy.

As for an alternative I would suggest we all stop eating meat. It's much healthier for the human body, plus it's good for the spirit.

this is one of those questions where its hard to find an answer to it that would be right for everyone. if ,,for example,,it was just us here in the states that turned veg and we had to get rid of all the animals then that would be simple,,,give them to other counties.the countries that are having a food shortage such as africa. all animals could just be given away to them,,we can feed a whole lot of people in this world with just the food that we don't eat or don't want.so i guess my answer would be to give the animals to other countries which would free up land to be used to grow the veggies here. maybe even make trades with other countries ,,our meat for their grains......

umm.. as a vegetarian i don't complain about other people eating meat - but the whole problem is the fact that we are haarvesting animals in disgusting conditions and injecting them with horrible things (extra hormones and stuff) for aesthetic and taste pleasure which will get stuck in the body... why don't we just let nature run its course? the populations will regulate themselves out... the whole point is we shouldn't have screwed around with it in the first place!! anyways, the healthy amount of meat an individual should have is one to three servings a week so it doesn't even have to be all about the animals either.

Kill them, throw away the meat. Wear the jackets, or sit in the furniture.... I don't see the problem.

I am a vegetarian... I don't complain to other people. I don't like it when people complain about vegetarians.
