He could have seen it as an invasion of privacy.
Many people store importnat phone numbers or pictures on their phones. A phone can almost be a type of diary for some people. He might have thought that you were snooping through his stuff, and this might have made him angry.
Still, it is abusive to throw things at others, unless it is done in a joking way. He should not have thrown it at you.

Because he realises that looking through his cellphone is a violation of his privacy.
But throughing a cellphone at someone could lead to an abusive relationship.
If you don't trust him, and need to go through his cell phone, maybe it's time to get a new boyfriend. one that doesn't throw things at you?

Probably because you were invading his privacy by snooping through his cell phone. What would you have done if he had looked through your call log?
On the other hand, he could be cheating on you, and was pissed because you found out his dirty little secret. I'm opting for the latter.

Everybody loves their own privacy...
I never hide anything from my husband..but I would be very mad if he looks around my stuff or phone...I haven't give anything for him to feel insecure about me...so he has no reason to check my stuff...(purse,phone,car,books,etc)
He will hear my screams from all parts of the town if he touches my belongs...I'm honest and my love is pure and he has no right to doubt my word...
Becareful..think twice about an abusive relacionship...

because you were looking through it. That is a violation of his privacy. Some might say he had something to hide but that may not be true he just felt violated

You don't have a boyfriend. You are making up all these questions for attention. Get a life.

You already know the answer...he is two timing you (or ten timing, whatever). You needn't ask her for verification. IT is past time to leave this guy, he has exhibited violence that cannot be ignored...it will get worse if you stay. Why do you think you need him? That is the real question here.
