When the knowledge of God is no longer available, people paradoxically will want and search diligently for it. But then it will be too late. This is in the Bible, do you know where its mentioned ? I think its in the Old Testament if I'm not mistaken and I'm usually not! What will you do if there wasn't any more of God's Word preached in churches, on radio and tv and in pamplets & books?
You'll still have your Bible/ Would that be all you'll need during the famine?

Amos 8:11 -- "The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.

Yes, I believe it's already largely true in America (and too many American churches.)

If God's word wasn't preached in churchs, on radio etc, what would I do...? Throw a party? Rejoice that the majority finally figured out what a crock religion is? Unless you want to eat your words, you'll need more than your Bible during a famine.
BTW, not too full of ourselves, are we? I believe Christians are supposed to be humble....that's in the Bible too.

It's laughable. It's like saying there will be a shortage of rocks. We are literally gaggin on God's word 7x24 from every broadcast tower, satellite and printing press. Now as far as a shortage of understanding, that's worse than it ever was since any closeted gay man in a sequined jacket with a satellite can preach what he thinks is God's word to the entire planet. The ignorance among American Christians is absolutely at black plague levels.

The nonsense preached in churches, on radio and TV and in pamphlets & books Is not the word of God. Usually it is a silly lie about God.

I've not read of this, but I've not read the entire Bible yet either. There's a sure-fire way to combat such a famine though: memorize key verses now so that you can recall them when you need them! :)

Amos 8:11
We'll need true teachers of the word, not Benny Hinn's or Joyce Meyers, am talking REAL teachers.

BTW..Great Question!

I hope so. Perhaps, subconsciously, they realize their beliefs aren't based on anything real and people are bound to come to reason eventually. Anyway, we'll be much better off once religion fades away.
