If you are careful, plan your meals, and buy the most inexpensive ingredients that require more time in preparation, you'll be able to stick to about $300 per month, as most of the others state. If you like high quality foods, deli foods, more expensive meats, etc. you'll be up there with those that said $800 per month. I'm the $250 to $300 per month type myself.

This has changed over the years as the kids get older they eat moor and they also have a lot of company that love to chill out and pig out in front of the the Big Screen. My husband and I and our 16 year old spend about 200.00 per week.

I think it depends on where you live. I live in a major city and spend about $800 a month on groceries, including meat and cleaning products.

If I had a family of 3, and I could make them eat what I eat, probably about $120. Of course, I eat soup made from dry rice and beans, sprouted wheat grains from the animal feed store, and fruit & nuts grown by neighbors, and you kind of have to get used to the diet. (It will really clean out your innards because of the high fiber and stuff.) Just for myself, it costs maybe $50/month for food. It leaves me with left over cash that I can amuse myself with on eBay.

for a family of 3, I say.. Perhaps.. around $300? I guess also depends on the age group and activities that you do. Say you have a todler, I am sure diapers, milke formular etc can be costly.

Around $400-$450. We've been keeping track of it for a while now...so I am pretty certain on that number. That includes the odd takeout treat as well :-)
