I'm gonna take a WILD guess and assume your studio SEEMS small to you.
Certainly you can add mirrors, but YOU'LL know it's only an illusion, and such a 70's one at that.
I like to think of small as cozy, or private, secure, and as one answerer states,,,Minimalist is a good way to go.
Define the space, no matter the size, as very personal, very YOU, and enjoy the fact that it's YOURS, no matter the size.
Enjoying our own sanctuary doesn't have to depend on whether or not we can hear an echo bouncing around. Think about it perhaps in terms of,,,"Where you spend the most time, whil in your apartment. A chair or sofa watching TV or listening to music? A kitchen bar on a stool, eating, reading? Those areas where we actually spend time, locate our bodies, are very specific, and usually small.
Decorate with color, or prints you enjoy. Shy away from excess furniture, or heavy drapes. What brings you comfort, in any defined space, is what you should do.

Well, when I decorated my studio, instead of putting mirrors on the entire wall, I did this. I bought a little table and put it against the wall and put a plant on it. Then I bought a mirror and hung it on the wall behind the plant. This not only looks nice, it made the apt. look larger. I also went to the thrift store and bought a nice couch that folds out into a bed. That way it was livingroom by day, bedroom by night. And throw rugs with some of the same colors as my couch really made the place look great. Hope this helped you. good luck

Mirrors can look good or they can look cheesy. Depends on how you use them. Without seeing a space it isnt really fair to ask how we would decorate it. There is a show in HGTV called...oh I cant remember but all it shows it very small places that are decorated for function as well as beauty. I think it is like Small Space Big Design...? It will give you some great ideas.

I live in 450 sq ft studio/condo, and I love it.
For furniture, I have an armoir with my tv, stereo, and computer in it. I have a 42" glass dining table and 4 small scale leather chairs. I use a daybed with a trundle (another bed under the daybed) for sleepovers. I have a few strategically placed tall bookcases to capitalize on vertical space. And finally a low dresser behind the daybed. I have lots of built-in closets so everything has a place.
For your place you first choose a theme, modern, industrial, retro, romantic, etc. Then you shop for the hardest thing to find, an area rug, if you are going to have one. From there choose your upholstered furniture to co-ordinate with the carpet.
Regarding your walls I'd skip the mirrors and paint instead. Paint is the last thing you choose. Choose a shade to cogo with the rug and furniture. There are paint companies that have very large paint chips for you to take home and look at to confirm your choices.
Keep accessories to a minimum and your home will be your palace.
Good Luck!

Mirrors?! Oh geez who are you, Liberace? Maybe one in the foyer area, but that's it! No walls covered in 12"x12" mirror tiles, please!!!
Use smaller scale furniture. Big peices will make the place look smaller than it is. Use a loveseat instead of a 3-person sofa. Use glass-topped tables rather than solid wood to give an airier, lighter feel and look. Go monochromatic for impact.

Do yourself a favor and decorate it minimumally.....I think I spelt that right....minimumally...
If you're living in a studio apartment, which is cool in it's self, then you needn't spend money on furnishings.A pad like that is suppossed to be spartan. You're suppossed to be "uber-poor".You're defeating the whole vibe if you cram it full of fancy stuff.Go to Ikea. They have all kinds of stuff for kitchsy guys like you.All your furniture should have that "utilitarian-but-still-stylish" vibe happening.
You'd be ultra-cool if all you all have is a kingsize bed and some video cameras set up around it!
