I have a "Hp photosmart R607 " camera. Its just over a year old now. The Pin where you plug it up to the ac adapter has broken & it won't charger anymore. Can it be fixed, or more part is it worth fixing or should I just buy anew camera? They said it would cost around $120 to fix it with best buy or circuit city. My warranty has expired.

For not too much more, I'd just buy a comparable new camera. You could probably buy the exact same camera for less than $200.

The HP Photosmart R607 uses a rechargeable HP R07 battery. You can get an external AC battery charger for about $20. Here's the result of a quick search on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=r07+charger&category0=

buy yourself another camera, prices have gone down so much.
Or find a battery charger off of ebay, and get it cheap.

if you are pretty handy, just take it apart and buy a part from radio shack and solder it on. If it works, then you got a backup spare.

If the battery is removable, get a charger for it.
