The only people demanding evidence of God are people who are already convinced he doesn't exist. They think the lack of scientific evidence proves them right.

Guess what, fantasy lovers, atheists don't want scientific evidence. Atheists don't need scientific evidence. Atheists know that there is no scientific evidence of god.
The point is that science does have evidence of things that exists in the natural world, such as evolution and the big bang. Why do spiritualists want to deny scientific evidence that exists?
I would just love the "true believers" to lose their hypocrisy and accept that they are fans of science. Come on, now, anyone who participates here must be using a computer. Do you think that computers and software are created by prayer circles? Do you think that people who look at lightning and think of it only as a demonstration of supernatural power could possibly develop an electrical device?
I am so amused when I see answers like "we don't float off the earth because god is holding us down". I say to myself, "Well, that certainly isn't a rocket scientist." I just hope that it isn't a pilot, either.

Simple. Evidence of God's existence would shift the paradigm from faith, to a simple belief. The next level would be proof, in which case the paradigm would shift from belief to fact. Our nature as human beings is to understad things. From childhood we question what we don't understand. Thus believing something in blind faith with no facts on which to base our decisions is difficult. It is only natural to want to make informed decisions, rather than jumping to a conclusion based on absolutely nothing. Whether or not logic can make sence of a supreme being, it is human nature to try. I'm sure the athiests will ask how you can have such strong faith with absolutely no facts justify it.

We want proof because we don't want to believe in something without it. It's like believing in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, or ghosts. Why should I? There is no empirical evidence that any of these things exist, so why should I believe in them?
I am willing to admit that at least some of the historical events in the Bible occurred, but to me that makes it no different than writings on the walls of temples in Egypt. Many of them contain accurate historical events, intermingled with spiritual events, but I don't believe those either. If I am going to change my life and become a different person, I want there to be a good reason for it. That means proof that doing so will actually cause the promises made to be true. No one can offer that so I'll just have to pass.

The truth is there is scientific evidence. We are created by him for his purpose. Just look at my life. That's proof enough. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. And I'm not the only believer.
To Venus, Moses saw God in the burning bush. Thousands of people saw Jesus Christ during his lifetime. Jesus is God.

Yeah but what you don't understand is that Faith cannot explain anything...I mean little kids have faith that Santa is gonna bring them toys...but is it true? Terrorists have faith that there will be 42 virgins in heaven for them if they die fighting infidels....I could have faith that A popsicle stick is my only key to heaven..yet if i told you this you would think I was insane....but yet you do not feel your beliefs are insane...thats why there has to be proof....because if you dont have it you are just crazy to us.

Because people's FAITH is fading. To truly believe in GOD you must have faith. Too many people these days do not posess that feeling.

Because they ARE atheists and they know that there is no possibility of scientific evidence, so they are being absurd and obstinate. It's just another way to aggravate Christians, and reason to keep from becoming a christian.
