I am a first time college student. I have nere wrote a research paper before. I have a lot of information on stem cell research The topic is so broad. I need to know how to write a research paper and how to come up with the bomb thesis statement. I know that i do not state my opinion in research papers, that is all I was told, she just gave us our lessons and left it at that. Can someone please help me!!

You need to focus on one issue. Maybe laws regarding stem cell research, or the uses of stem cells, or basically what they are and how we get them. Focusing will help you figure out what your thesis is and will eliminate a lot of your articles. Your college should have some sort of writing center or lab. Call them and make an appointment. They should be able to help you write your thesis statement and make an outline. They should also be able to help you with grammar, spelling, and referencing. Good luck.
