I have naturally straight hair. I'd LOVE to have curly hair, but whenever I try to curl it will mousse or my curling iron, or scrunch it with gel, it just goes limp after a little while, because my hair is also thick and heavy. Anyone know any good hair products that will help hold my curls? (I've been using Tresseme mousse and Garnier Fructis wet shine hair gel)

i have the same type of hair. What i do is just wash it and then put in 4 type of conditioners 1.mend by summit,2.redken after-sun conditioner,3.results curl perfection by charles worthington, then rinse. After all that i put in this stuff called mixed chicks, but never comb your hair out.....i finally just stick it in a pony tail and twist sections of my hair up and then use blow dryer, take it out and presto-its curly u might not wanna buy all that stuff but its worth totally worth it in the end!!!!
