There is no problem with not wanting children.

I personally could never imagine not planning to have children. I love them and always have seen myself as the motherly type. The best day of my life with be the day I become a mother.

But there are those who do not feel the same way, and thats ok. I think it's way harsh when someone looks down on a woman just becuase they feel they are here for somthing other then becoming a mother.

Some people want to leave a little something of there own after they are gone and to have someone to love and care for, to teach and learn from and to shape but not mold. Others want a status symbol. Others may be to dumb to even know where babies come from. Others may decide not to have children. I have 2, my daughter 2, my son 1 and he says that is all he and his wife want. It is best for it to be your's and your spouse's decision and there is nothing wrong with your deciding as it is yours to make and no one else's. Being happy in your life is all that matters.

Some people just love children and know they want kids. I didn't like babies when I was younger. I had my first by accident and was very scared. But having her was the best thing that happened to me. You learn to love unconditionally, be patient and tolerant. It's wonderful watching them learn new things.

I now have 3 and if was younger and healthier, I would love to have more. There's no right or wrong on having kids or not. If you do have kids, give them the tlc they need.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it! If you decide you don't want children that's your right.

I never felt maternal over children til I had my own, other peoples children still get on my nerves!!

You will have to put up with years of "Oh one day you'll want them, when you're ready" which will eventually change to "do you regret not having children?"

There is nothing wrong with not wanting children. There is nothing worse than feeling the pressure to produce. I have a friend that has no desire to have children, but is a fab aunty and loves her friends kids, but loves that she does not have the responsibility of them.

I love babies and I'd love more. However, your right not to have one is your own and no one should try to influence that decision. I'd rather you said you didn't like them though, as parents could take offence.

I have one son and I have absolutely no desire to have any more - There is nothing wrong with not wanting to have children - It is an individual's choice to make.

Nature has given you the mechanism to reproduce and you do that. You do that for extension of your family. You do that hoping perhaps he would not be like you. We keep hoping for better. Babies add dimension and new meanings !
