I boiled milk in a non-stick pot, but after I poured the milk into another container, I saw that 'burnt' milk was stuck to the bottom of the pot. I soaked the pot but the 'burnt' stuff is not coming off. How can I clean the pot without ruining the non-stick surface?

Boil baking soda (lots of it) and water in the pan. It should come out.

For several years we have been receiving health warnings about the dangers of "non-stick" cooking utensils. I suggest you check up on polytetrafluorethylene (PTFT), the main chemicals in non-stick coating. Dupont's Teflon, is one of the more common trade names. The reports I have read claim that PTFTs do not stay in the pots and pans, the plastic microwave dishes, etc., It slowly leaches out (plus what you scrape off every time you use them) and enters the foods you cook as well as escaping into the air you and others breath.

i would put a little bit of vinegar into the pot and let it sit for a while, its acidic so that should help.

Or, water with baking soda then boil for a few minutes might work.

Been there, done that...go to WalMart and buy a new pot.
