10 years ago, I had hair down to my butt. Then after having kids, I cut it to the top of my shoulders.
Now I'm trying to grow it back, and it won't get past my armpit level!!
I use NO chemicals. I don't have split ends. I have long layers put in every 6 months or so, and I wash it once a week.
(it's thick, curly and frizzy, but I already read THAT section!!)
I want it long again!! What is wrong???

GNC has a supplement called "Ultra Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster and stronger, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin [sometimes known as "vitamin H" ] alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourishair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results

Sorry, but sometimes your hair never grows back again the way it was before. And i've heard that your hair usually won't grow any longer than your ancestors, because it's just not in your genes. Also hair grows at different speeds depending on your age you could try rubbing castor oil on the roots of your hair at bedtime, but i saw that on tv and i'm not sure if it actually works, Good luckie!

also, DO NOT WASH it everyday , if u wash natrally curly hair everyday your hair will dry out even more. u need the normal oil from your hair for it to do want u want. i probably wash mine about 3 times a week with lots of conditioner. then i let it air dry with nothing in my hair. then i'll straighten it if i want. but if u want it curly, wash it then put john frieda gel in your hair. when you have your style then spray it a little and your set!

Try vegetal silica a.k.a horseail root. You can get it in nutrition stores in capsul or liquid form. Hopefully it works for you. It works for me. It also helps make your hair thicker, nails stronger and skin smoother.
