Moon And Sun Tattoo Meaning

My first tattoo reminded me of a car I once owned that's how deep I considered its meaning, however now when you see them all together I had one friend say they looked like I was wearing black body armour, subconscious??? i don,t know. But the element of going through pain does play a role, not on the masochistic level but as a rite of passage. Don,t think this demonstrates a deeper bubbling psychosis waiting to spill over next time someone upsets me, as the suggestion in the comments already posted would indicate, as socially I enjoy a lot of extreme pastimes, and push myself to get better adrenaline rushes, tattoo,s are just another rush. But I do enjoy that I am stereotyped and people do avoid conversation with me purely on the basis that I am heavily tattoo,d, all it does is show the world is a ignorant place, and if they have formed the basis not to speak to me on that level any other opinion they hold should also be dismissed.

First to Chrissy M.... you should do some research before you give out advice... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#Etymology_and_alternative_names- the swastika was a meaningful symbol long before Hitler....

To the original poster I have never heard of moon and sun tattoo meaning devil and witchcraft... and even if it did it could also have a number of other meanings like the swastika example above.... If its something you want get it and don't worry about what others might "think" it means because they will be wrong. If you are still unsure why don't you find a practitioner of witchcraft and ask them... I'm sure they would be happy to help.

any sign or symbol can be translated into so many different things. As long as you aren't getting a swastica, sun and moon is pretty. Although you should do research to find out. Last think I heard was that a spider web tat meant aryan nation. No one wants that!!

Double check, but do what you want!!

I have never heard of that. Besides a tatoo's meaning is usually determined by the person getting the tatoo. (unless it is something like a Chinese symbol, or an astrological sign). So get the tattoo you want get.

The sun and moon are symbols sometimes used in pagan religions. However, a friend of mine who is a Wiccan minister once told me that his religion doesn't even have a "devil" figure. So, they very well might be symbolic with regard to "witchcraft" but witches don't even believe in devils. If that's what you want & it has another meaning to you, you should go ahead & get it.

Don't listen to people like that girl who mentioned the swastika. A swastika is a great symbol used by native american, greek and tibetan cultures. Out of dozens one bad group used it now everyone thinks its a bad symbol.
