No - MacOS is designed to run only on Apple produced intel-based Macs. There is no legal way to run it on a non-Apple produced intel system (ie. HP).

However, if you're tired on Windows, consider testing out Linux. There are hundreds of distributions you can choose from... some of the more popular and recommended for new people include Suse, Fedora, Mandriva, and especially Ubuntu. For links to websites for downloading (since Linux is free for MOST distributions) check out www.distrowatch.org. Great thing is, you can download and burn an appropriate CD of Ubuntu or Suse or the popular Knoppix version and just boot to that without even installing - it will run ENTIRELY from the CD (as long as your computer is set to boot from the CD first).

Just keep in mind, The only thing that runs most windows programs well is Windows. There are ways, both on Mac and Linux, to make Windows programs run - but for the most part, don't expect them work or work the same way if you can install them. Your best off looking for alternatives - like using the free OpenOffice (already included with most versions of Linux) instead of Microsoft Office.

With Apple's move to Intel processors it is now theoretically possible for someone with a 'standard' (non Mac) PC to run Mac OS X. In fact there is an entire group of individuals devoted to helping that happen: http://www.osx86project.org/

And, there are even individuals who have gotten their standard PC hardware to boot Mac OS X.

With that said, it's actually against Apple's licensing agreement to run Mac OS X on any hardware that Apple doesn't make. So although it is technically possible, it's currently illegal to do so.

No, you need to get an apple computer in order to run mac. You can emulate it on your windows pc, but it will run really slow. I know there are other ways to get mac to run on a PC but they aren't legal.

It can be done, however, not very well at this time. You'd be much better off simply buying a Macintosh.
