Theres this kid in my art class thats always staring at me. He's kind of cute. He is in the eigth grade and i'm only in the seventh plus i an not the prettiest at all. He could do so much better but i'm confused.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

If he's staring at you, he's probably interested but checking to see if you are really the kind of girl he's looking for.
Who's prettiest is not the only trait guys look for. They let you think that, but it's not.
The best thing you can do is just be yourself. Don't try to be anythig you are not. If he likes you, he will let you know, even if he doesn't say so, you will be able to tell by the way he acts around you. Good Luck.

Hannah he is interested in you or he would'nt be looking at you trust me i'm older and wiser about these things and to say your not pretty well that is in the eye of the beholder he sees something you don't see and never put yourself down like that confidence is always very beautiful--remember that!

You don't think it's creepy that he stairs at you? (Not that you necessarily should) Girls should know that looking at them is how some shy guys show their interest, they just can't get up the nerve to go talk to them (they can be afraid of rejection or that it would make seeing them around school weird) He would be stunned to have you take the initiative.

If hes always staring at you that is quite possibly a sign. Why dont you try talking to him or adding him on msn? Im sure if you talk more youll find out.

Okay. Does he look at you, & then when you look at him, he looks down but then looks at you again? If he does, that's a sign that he likes you. (i'm in the 7th grade too!) :)

Give him a test. smile a bit more flirty or wnk at him see if he responds!,
or you can ask him a question about something in your class and watch his eyes and body language you can almost always tell with boy/guy/men!,

Lots of guys don't really like the kind of "pretty" that the pop media cram down our throats.
