The Ten Commandments are based on the Old Testament. The Sevenly Deadly Sins was a list made in Medieval times.

The 7 Deadly Sins. The commandments took quite awhile to come about. The since we were born in sin, then it's safe to say the sins were here first.

Well we dint get the Commandments til Duet 20 and there was a lot of 7 deadlys' before that so the Sin!

the 7 deadly sins came first because throughout history and the book of genesis, mankind have commited sins (adam and eve ate the forbiden fruit, cain killed his brother abel etc) thats why God gave us the Ten Commandments so we can follow it and don't commit further sins.

i do believe 7 deadly sins because its in the bible and what not and the bible came before the commandments..
