I just finished punching myself in the face. i don't see the girl io like at school very often,. so many opportunities of speaking to her are gone. no, i have never spoken to her. i hit myself b/c today was the perfect opportunity and i pussied out. in the only class we have together, our teacher gave us the last 5 minutes for talking or w/e. she was sitting by herself, and i was almost jumping out of my chair to talk to her, but i kept sitting back down and saying"in a few more seconds" but i never did. what do you think my problem is? why is it so hard for me to talk to her? this isn't the only opportunity i've had either.

You are making it harder than it has to be. You are making it like you have to walk up and ask her out. Just start it slow like a friend. See her as just one of the fellas. Say hello. How are you doing today? Did you understand question 3? Nice dress. Don't be so rough on yourself. Just start it out light. If you try and start it out like a dating thing, you might scare the schit outta her, as a friend tho, she might appreciate! Be cool dude!

Your questions is so wonderful and sincere. And I know a guy your age probably doesn't care at all for what I just said, but it's true.

It's hard for you to talk to her because you like her so much and normal, natural fears are getting in your way. This happens to people of all ages. Men and women, young and old.

So, you're normal.

Girls your age are pretty hard to understand. They are as insecure as you are. They worry about boys all the time. They don't think they are pretty enough, funny enough, smart enough or good enough. So chances are that this girl would probably really welcome you if you went to talk to her.

I bet she would take it as a huge compliment if you went over and sat down next to her. It is so hard to be yourself but if you just went over and said "Hi...I can't believe he gave us 5 free minutes." Or anything to break the ice. Talk about Homecoming or Football or classes or say you like her shirt. Or say that you were going to go over the other day to talk to her but you felt stupid so you figured you would just break the ice. Then say, "OK, your turn to talk." That will make her laugh.

Girls your age are pretty self-centered. Ask her questions like who she has for all her classes or if she plays sports or likes the coach or if she saw a certain movie. She'll like to talk about herself. If she likes you she may be shy too but just go slow and talk and the worst that can happen is that she could be totally rude to you or act like you are bothering you and that will make you feel like **** but the fact of a matter like that is that the girl is rude and you did nothing wrong and she might act all cool about it but really she is probably too shy and unsure of herself that she doesn't know how to react to a positive approach. So if she's nasty or mean when you go to talk to her, be patient and don't take it personally.
