How could I be mad at an idea that doesn't exist? Being an atheist isn't about being mad at something, whether it be the concept of a deity or ones own life. Being an atheist is about accepting reality.
The religious zealots DO very often do some pretty horrible things both on a large and small scale, but that has nothing to do with my nonbelief.

I don't recall saying I was mad.....So who ever told you I was lied to you! I am happy. Why would I be mad at god when I don't believe in god? I am not mad at the religious zealots I just find them annoying and rude at times. I like the "cards" I was given just fine and I don't blame my "Creators" (My parents) for anything in my life.
You sound like you forgot to take your medication today. Maybe you should get up right now and go take them!

I'm an atheist with a great life that God is not in the least responsible for. Not mad at anything intangible, least of all your particular intangible being.
Perhaps you're the one with issues? Something definitely seems to be bothing YOU.
Oh, and one the best parts of my life is sleeping late on Sundays.

Actually, you seemed to have missed the whole thing. There is no possibility of anger at "God" if you're a skeptic or atheist. Are you angry at the Easter Bunny?

i was thinking... maybe you or someone who taught you this "mad at god" theory dont like your cards yourself? we didnt become an atheist because we got pissed of that your god gave us something we dont like.
we became an atheist because we realised that the christian god, or any other gods for that matter, dont really exist.

I dismiss the popular current religions just like Christians dismiss the thousands of religions that have been before. It is quite easy. Christians call all other religions mythology, Atheists simply take the step further and regard ALL religions as mythology. it has nothing to do with anger or hate, those are Christian values that we Atheists do not share.

What kind of question is that? Do you really expect an atheist to come forward and say, "you know what, Christian? You're right. I really do believe in God but He did an incredible injustice to me, that's why I choose not to believe in Him." Dream on, buddy. We as christians know that everyone has an innate knowledge of God's existance. Don't expect anyone to admit it, though.
People do not believe in unicorns. Nobody writes volumes of books on why unicorns do not exist, because everyone knows unicorns do not exist.
Hope this helps, but wrong time and way to drop the gauntlet.
Booyakasha!

how can we be mad at someone if we don't believe in him? We're not mad at anyone. We realize that god can't exist because we at least have a shred of intelligence.

If you blame your creator for the state of your life, then you are obviously not an atheist, are you?
I despise religion for the harm it has done, and the harm it continues to do to our society, survival, and scientific progress.
