Islam and Christianity have been at odds with each other for centuries. Both sides have traded blows with invasions, crusades, forced conversions, and bloodshed since the first millenium A.D. Today, their differences and conflict is even more intense, with religious fanaticism battling against the modern world. This is not about who's right and who's wrong, this is about the past, present, and future of the world's two strongest faiths. Will these two great religions ever be able to co-exist or will there always be animosity.

Bear in mind, I don't want comparisons between the two religions. Also, I don't want mebers of one religion preaching about how their religion is better than the other. This question is about understanding. So, Christians, no preaching about how the Muslims need to find Jesus. And Muslims, no talk about how Christians pray to a false God. All I want is constructive dialogue. No preaching, no blaming, no demonizing.

Western civilization has learned, over the centuries, that there is no compulsion in religion. Religion flourishes where there is freedom, and it is a truer faith than when it is dictated by the authorities. In time, the rest of the world will, independently, come to the same conclusion.

Well, it does say in the Koran not do befriend 'prople of the book' aka Jews or Christians. What do you expect? Think they're ever gonna forgive Europe for killing 10 million of them and driving them into the desert? Think Texas will ever forgive the attack on New York? Wait - didn't Texas have a big problem with New York?

I think Islamic followers and Christianity followers will be always adversaries. Each followers will defend that their religion is better than other religion. This situation can be continued in peace until Jesus comes to this earth before this world collapsed. At that time Jesus will explain to Christianity followers which religion is the correct one..But I feel sorry if this differences will go to a bloodshed that is hated by our God.If it is limited to dialoque in a discussion forum I think it is okay.In religion should be no force..
We must let free every one to choose his/her religion according to their heart which one is better. and he/she will bear its consequences if his/her choice is wrong.

no offense, but there will be tension, until the muslims learn the truth about who Jesus Christ really is (Son of god) as presented in the 4 gospels of the bible and the epistles. we have proof that The gospels have remained unchanged since atleast 125 a.d., over 500 years before Islam changed the gospels to fit their new religion>

the Bible tells us, that there will be no true peace on this earth until Christ's return, When he returns to rule. the Quran teaches that Christ was a good prophet of God and nothing more.
for those who choose to be fanatics about their respective beliefs.
peace will not exist.

Islam will cease when the LORD comes for his "own", the Church.

We will meet HIM in the clouds...

Then, what ever else there is, will perish in the fire that will engulf the Earth.

I wish you well..
