ground chuck, one egg, a 1/8 cup of oatmeal or bread crumbs, onion soup mix. Mix all together and cook in a 350 degree oven for 45 -60 minutes. Optional, spread a bit of ketchup on top. Some people like to put olives but I don't. I have found that my family likes the meat loaf when prepared the way I described. Best wishes.

I take about a pound and a half of ground beef, mix in some oregano, basil, and any other seasonings you prefer. Then I add an egg, toast 2 slices of bread, grind the bread in a food processor, and mix in the crumbs. Mix it really well, shape into a loaf, put in a loaf pan and bake at about 350 for 30 to 45 minutes. You can top with whatever you prefer, usually tomato sauce or ketchup and or cheese.

I like to add a cup of oatmeal to the mix. It adds iron and helps hold the loaf together. Use 1lb ground beef, one egg, alt and pepper to taste, one small chopped or minced(better) onion- that will give you a basic loaf. You could also add 1/4 c. chopped celery and 1/4 c. chopped green pepper if you like those vegetables. Mix well, turn into a loaf pan (I like Pyrex for this) and bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 20 - 35 minutes. You can't go wrong. Some people like to cook it with ketcup on top or tomato sauce on top. Others like it plain.

Take 1 1/2 lbs ground beef or turkey & mix in bowl with 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers, 1 egg, salt, fresh ground pepper, onions ( optional ) and 1 tbsp Heinz 57 sauce. Place in loaf pan & bake @ 350 for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The last 15 minutes of baking, open oven & pour Heinz 57 over top of loaf.....serve with mashed potatoes, baby green peas & fresh rolls.....Enjoy!

OK, this is very easy :)

Buy the French's meatloaf seasoning - it really is the best. I use equal amounts of ground pork and ground beef because it gives it a slightly different texture and flavor than "old-fashioned" ground beef meatloaf. I think the mix calls for an egg or two and ketchup. My secret is throwing a half and half mix of ketchup and A-1. It gives it a kick. I also throw in about 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped mushrooms to mix in the meatloaf.

I have had rave reviews about it more than once.

The most important thing is using the *FRENCH'S* meatloaf mix. That is the best. If they don't have it where you live, the McCormick's is a close second best.

When you buy the mix, it will tell you how long to cook it for.

PS - anyone who tells you it's just ground beef, egg and breadcrumbs is setting you up for a *very* dull meatloaf ;) It doesn't have to be!
