There is this girl at my church and i was trying to get her to go to a movie with the rest of the youth group, but she said she couldn't go but me and her could go see a movie next week. I think she likes talking to me and she is always happy to be around me. 1. Is she asking me on a date.
2. Does she like me? From what you can tell with what i just said?

It sounds like she likes you because she wants to be with you and not 'you and the youth group.' In other words, she wants to spend time alone with you--that a good sign for you.
She's not exactly asking you on a date, but she probably sensed something from you when you tried to get her to go with the group, so she found a better alternative. One important question though: how does she feel about the group and/or church? If she hates the group (or a person in it), then she might just be trying to get away from them. If she likes them, then she probably likes you.

If a girl said that she would like to go to a movie with you...then she likes you. No way would she say that if she wasn't interested. It sounds like she'd prefer to see you alone rather than with the rest of the group. I don't think she was necessarily asking you out on a date, you asked her, and she told you another time would be better- so essentially, you still asked her (which means you should offer to pay).

she's probably asking you out on a date. don't take that for the gospel truth, though. it's a safe way to ask you out without feeling rejected if you said no---it's much easier to act as if it's no big deal if the purpose of going to the movies is not clear (ie- if it's a date or of it's just a rain check for not being able to go on the original night with the entire youth group)

Well first of all if she doesnt mind being around u then she either likes u or she is just friends. try being friends with her some more and then ask her if she really does like u. then if she says yes, go to that movie with her.
