These people have a fear of comitment. No sence of dedication to the cause. They are not to be trusted.

I dated a guy last year that I met on a Christian singles website. He had been an atheist until his late 20's. He is very involved in Christian ministry, including international mission work.
I also sing in choir with a woman at my church who is in her late 30's and only became a Christian a few years ago. I don't know if she had been an atheist or just agnostic.

I am a holy rollin Jesus Freakazoid! I was an Atheist for 30 years. (I'm 40 now). I am involved in ministry at my church and at my job. My background in all things "Not GOD" really helps me to understand and explain how many other people view Christians. I also know why Atheist hate Christians. That was something I never understood as an Atheist. Why I hated something I didn't believe in. I believe many Christians who become Atheist are people who were raised to be Christians but have never met Jesus personally. Until you come face to face with Jesus no words or concepts or explaining will do anything for ya.
GOD bless ya.

The only way an Atheist would become a "believer" is if they suffered serious brain damage.

It's the individual's choice as to what they believe or don't. But not everyone is committed to what they claim to believe, thus you have people who are wishy washy and they only join a group because it;s the cool thing to do.

first of all christians do not become atheists because an atheists is someone who doesn't believe in God and how can you stop believing in something your formally believed in. now atheists can become christians but they get on a high horse religion high meaning that they think that they are better than everyone else because they know believe in God and have come to find him. That become thier new source of identity. They drop all their old friends never speak to them again and think of themselves as god.

I was a hardcore, Christian-hating atheist, who after learning who God really is, turned Christian...
As much as you guys act like you hate Christians... back then... I could have put you all to shame.
But there came a time when I realized how absolutely stupid evolution was, how pathetic scientists were in their attempts to explain things, and how utterly morally corrupt they were.
It was about that time I got to know who God is... and the proof God gave to me is far more real than the plaster-of-paris imitation bones that are portrayed as the real thing and placed in museums for all to see and marvel at.
Edit: Djzoni - to prove you wrong, two people whom I have considered my closest friends as an adult are atheists, even now. I am not very close to them anymore (time and distance does that to all friendships), but that still does not negate the fact that I call them "my friend".

I don't see how it makes any difference. The Christian Fundamentalists and the vocal atheists don't seem all that different to me.

A 'Christian' who says they converted to athisim was never a believer in the first place! Once apon a time most of us believed in Santa Clause, did we stop believing in him or did we learn that we were lied to? You do not stop believing what you believe!

I like Christians that become atheists, I can respect that. Now, atheists turned Christian is just plain weird.
