No.
But every state has their own local laws and regulations. What is legal in one state may or may not be legal in another. California is an excellent example of that.
The best thing you could do is check with your local law enforcement officer, Highway Patrol Officer, or your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

No halogens are not illegal but I wish they were. I have night blindness and they cause me a lot of trouble when I drive a car. I try to drive my pickup at night to be above the strong lights, in turn reducing the night blindness.

No, they're not illegal. Halogen headlights have been the standard for many years now. The old sealed beam headlights have long gone the way of the dodo bird, though in fact modern sealed beam replacement bulbs are almost all halogens as well.

halogen headlights? No. Pickups with a roll bar equipped with halogn lights are suppoesed to have covers on them. If they're off colored lights. (ie: the bluish, or greenish colored lights) then maybe. Some jurisdictions rule them illegal, others don't have any rules against them specifically. I've heard of folx being cited for having them with the officer stating they appeared too much like emergency vehicle lights.......

no there not illegal. just remember to dim your lights when you meet a car. These lights are made for your vehical and most cars have these come out factory. A car 15 years old will have these lights. The blue headlights you see are not uncommon either.Just make sure both of them are working or you will get a ticket.Halogen lights are on all new cars
