I want to turn my old PC into a jukebox. It's running Windows 98, but can upgrade to 2000 if I have to. Basically I want to rip all my CD's to mp3, and have something play them, as well as other audio files downloaded form the 'net..
I'd like to sort by genre, artist, albums, or playlists. I'd like id3 tags to be complete. I know some programs have an auto complete feature. How crazy do they get into detail?
I'd like something that when it rips CD's, it lets you enter each artist seperately for V/A CD's like compilations & soundtracks (unlike CDeX).
Of course, I'd like freeware, but somethign that's not too much $ would still be cool. I don't mind payign for incredibly useful software.
Which audio program should I use, and why is it better than all the others?
Thanks!
