My grandpa owned a bowling alley and I got to work there when I was about 8 or 9. When I was done, he would go behind this big glass case and open the back up and ask me what I wanted, anything at all. I always chose a Bun candy bar. They still make them but they are really small now. But so good. The other was a bubblegum the size of a deck of cards. It was called Big Wad and was sour apple flavor. It came with a really cool trading card inside with drag racers driven by big monsters with bloodshot eyes. So cool.

For some unusual reason i did no longer care plenty for candy whilst i became youthful yet those salty sunflower seeds have been in basic terms so addictive. That became my decision yet as quickly as I had to call a candy bar it may well be the "Rocky highway Bars" that have been nonetheless 3 cents in spite of each little thing the others went to a nickel. I even have in no way rather cared approximately goodies until i became clinically determined with Diabetes... Now that it rather is forbidden fruit I crave chocolate (which i could no longer stand in the previous) continuously.

When I was a kid, I love jellybeans. I would always rushed to the candy store near my school every Fridays to buy packets of them. I guess I love to chew at it when the jellybean stayed inside my mouth for quite sometime. It become smooth and chewy after that. And jellybeans coated with bright colours.
My friends and I created a game with jellybeans....more like an instant colour therapy. We would fish out a jellybean from the bag and see what colour we would have. The colour will determine what emotion we would be in for tomorrow. Each colour describes an emotion....red, blue, green, yellow.....etc.
It's sure close to consulting the mood ring. But, we don't believe it wholely on it....it's just for fun! Heehe... ;-)

Chunky! a great big huge block of chocolate with nuts inside, jsut because it was so much for so little and tasted so good! I think it was made by Hershey's
At christmas my favorite was Ribbon Candy because you could only get it at Christmas and it had the greatest flavour!
I don't eat sweets any more though. Funny, huh?

Chik-O-Stiks and Candy Necklaces.
I don't know why for the first one - maybe it's because it's not chocolate or overwhelmingly sweet - my DH pointed out recently that it was basically the inside of a Butterfinger, which I also love LOL!
The candy necklaces simply because you could wear it *and* eat it and it would leave a sugary rainbow mess around your neck. I was 5, what do you want LOL!
Cool question!

I was 6 years old in 1970 & there were several "fad" candies back then, one particular one still brings a smile to my face. Zots were the hot potatoe back then!! They were a hard candy like a lifesaver, but solid & in the center was a sour powder that turned to fizzy foam when it hit your tonge....The boys used to eat them & chase us around the playground playing rabid dog!!! Zots are great!!

I always loved it when Mom made the Rice Krispie Treats. They were always my favorites, followed by just about anything made by Little Debbie.
