Blood is one thing but you said discharge which is a hole nother thing. Blood may be normal but discharge is a sign of virginal infection and should be treated by a vet ASAP. If she is not treated not only could she die from it soon after giving birth, but any babies surviving will also have this problem once they reach breeding age in the future. Unless it is treated your cat will die with no doubt. I have a friend of mine with 10 graves and still 16 cats. You can see the infections in her cats hind quarters and the animal control in my area will do nothing about it, even when viewing over 10 graves. All of her cats are dieing and she dont care about the sick ones all she cares about is making her kittens she takes from people, live in her nasty backyard building home with her! Hey if animal control dont care what can I do?

Yes, female cats do bleed when they are in heat just like dogs. Be prepared for your little girl to back her but up to you if you pet her and crying and wale in the house. Get her fixed right away. It might be more expensive if she is in heat but it will save you the headache.

yes - cats menstruate too but the discharge is soooo slight that we often miss it. Nothing to worry about.

could be or it could be she is already pregnant or has a urinary tract infection. Keep an eye on the discharge and take her to the vet if is persists
