No! Christian clergy ignore their sexuality and it comes back and makes them do things like molest children. Way to go though, exactly the sort of question a poor little christian would ask.

Ignore the devil, and he will devour you. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Matthew 17:18 - And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Jude 1:9 - Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

We have to be Jesus for satan to go away, and satan even tried to tempt Jesus. Even though he lost that round satan has us to tempt and turn evil. In fact, satan tries the faith of the righteous ones the most because if he can make them give in to the temptations satan lays out he chalks one up for himself for making the righteous ones to sin. Read the Book of Job in the Bible; Job was a very righteous man in God's eyes. God and satan were talking, satan was telling him how everyone "down there" were all lawless and were living so sinfully and immorally. God pointed down at his servant Job, telling him that he(satan) could throw anything at Job and Job would never curse Him. Satan took the challenge and threw down on Job every plague possible. Job lost everything but he still didn't curse God.
Satan will always be here until Judgement Day.

I think Satan does not bear the presence of God for long. Rather than ignore perhaps we should try to gain God`s presence by prayer and love and all that we know to do and Satan won`t stay present with us while we look the other way.

If we ignore thieves, murderers, rapists, terrorists, and the like, they will not go away.

Satan is the king of them so to speak. Satan is the epitamy of thievery, lying, murdering, raping, terrorizing, and the like.

Satan is inside of us. We must confront him and ask God for help. That is the only way. Ingoring a feelin gis only repression. It will only grow.

Satan is the father of all lies. He rejoices when he can lead a soul to stray through sin. We're too weak to fight him on our own. That's why we need Jesus to help us.
