Your 18, and hopefully they will come to understand that and let you make your own decisions.

As long as you don't live under their roof then it doesn't matter but as a person who has been both 18 and 25, it's not a very healthy choice as far as relationships go. You should stick to someone that is a little younger. i have to wonder what a 25 year old has in common with an 18 year old. I would say he really just wants sex.

I feel that you should first start by telling them you met a guy, who you like and let them know some of good and positive things about him, if any.
then compliment your parents by saying I have told him that, mom you are very ..........., then you dad that you are good at ......

tell them alittle of what he looks like, and if he has any values or is very good at fixing cars or that he loves sports, just find that common ground that he may have in common with your parents or something you know they will approve of, then just keep that up for a while and eventual they will want to meet him and hopefully can look past the age difference.

And as for you, hopefully you want more then just s.e.x with him, or that its more then a Fancy car or his job or money, be true to you too, your worth that.

And a little piece of advise, do not lie to your parents about him, if the question should come up about his age simply say he is older then me and before I go into that I really want you mom and dad, to get to know him, or to view him for who he is not his name age political Stan's or religious statue

Your 18, it's your decision. Now a days that much of an age difference is normal. Me and my husband are 12 years apart and are very happy. If you really like this person let your parents know, they'll either get over it or they won't. Good luck!

Tell them age doesn't count, if I love someone and they love me back it should be okay. Also mention he's a great guy and tell your parrents about his accomplishments. Good luck! =]
