Isometrics is good. No need to even get up. The excerises require the tensing of a muscle group , holding for 5-7 seconds then releasing the tension, and repeating 3-5 times. I presume that walking is out of the question due to a weight issue ? Blood sugar will be used up during exercise, fats take a little longer as these have to be called upon after blood sugar and liver reserves of glycogen are depleted. Make sure that you are taking your medication correctly, if prescribed, and also taking on fluids. If you are testing your blood sugar levels, keep them in range, going too low can be fatal, and will not speed up weight loss. Get an exercise bike or rowing machine and a portable TV in front of it, stick no a good DVD, and as with all exercise , slowly build up, but check with your doctor prior to all changes in your exercise regime, good luck and hope that helped

Go to your search engine and type in "juvenile diabetes and exercise" and you'll find what you need. Any type of exercise will help you bring the blood sugar down and regulate it. Walking is excellent as well as any type of cardio workout, it will lower it every single time you do it, you may even be able to get off meds if you're on them.

I'll second tennis, I really never thought it would be that great of a workout but I've been playing with my fiance who was on the tennis team in high school and believe me, you'll get a good sweat on (providing you can keep a volley going). now if you cant get it over the net and keep it going, it probably wont help that much! But good luck!

exercise alone will not get rid of it. I am sure your doctor told you that you need to change your diet. if you keep eating a normal diet you will get worse. there is also medicine to take to help. as for a good workout go to vh1.com and order the celebrity boot camp workout. it is doing good for me. I am not an exerciser either!!!
