This case really depends on how much weed they found on the table? If any search warrent is served and drugs are in plain view of the police officers then they need to obtain a search warrent to even take the drugs from your property, at least in the state of Maryland. You have the right to apply for a continuence 3 times before you go for sentencing and the state has the right to ask for a continuance 3 times. Reason being that you are not happy with your representation. You should try to find an attorney that will do your case pro bono. Every lawyer has to do one pro bono case and you may get lucky and find a good one. Also when you look at the search warrent it HAS to state on there that they were looking for drugs or they cannot take it. Every search warrent has to have a detailed description of exactly what they are looking for, it is the law. Now as far as what your sentencing will consist of depends on your record. You could ask for probation before judgment, if you have no record or just a small record or you could ask for community services if you have a lengthy record. I wish you all the luck in the world, it always sucks when you have to go before a judge.

Tell the judge that you are there without an attorney because you didn't know you had a time limit on when to contact one, and you have not been able to do so. Make sure he/she knows that early on, and that you want one to help you. You have the right to an attorney, and you shouldn't have to face a court hearing without one. The judge will hopefully postpone the hearing to let you get one.

THEN ASK THE JUDGE WHAT THE PROCEDURE TO GET AN ATTORNEY APPOINTED FOR YOU IS, AND DO SO RIGHT AWAY.

You're facing some potentially serious charges, and if you sit back and do nothing, you'll get much more severe penalties than if you act quickly.

First don't expect the proceeding to be "fair" whether you are right or wrong. It doesn't matter. It's now just a matter of procedure. Second, get a lawyer, you will get less of a penalty (sentence or fine). Third, remember , it will cost you less to say you did it than to say you didn't do it (whether you did it or not). Fourth, the state now owns you. They will consume your life for years. Good Luck, chin up, face the music.

First off they must have had strong evidence to believe that man was there. They can't just serve a warrant anywhere they please. He must be living with you. They certainly can't just break down doors. There is more to this story then what you are saying but not my business. In most cases judges aren't that hard on criminals so you should just be fine. Don't worry to much!
