I injured my rotater cuff lifting weights (too much weight, improper form, just over-did it). Its been two months now, and it is a little bit better.

Can I expect to get back to lifting heavy weights again? Thanks.

That depends on your body. Remember that no one person has the same body as another persons. You say that it feels better. I also lift weights and have seen guys injured their shoulder. Some guys will ignore the pain for a week or so and then continue back at the gym the smart one go and see their doctor. You only have one shoulder. Ther rotator cuff is a very delicate part of the shoulder. I know I used to work in the operating room and have seem hundreds of rotator cuff surgeries. It may heal but not in the proper form.

Is it still sore? If it is-don't do anything yet, or it will be aggravated again and re-injure.
If it isn't sore go ahead and do only one or two sets of light and I say LIGHT weights, but stay with the light sets for several weeks so you can gradually strengthen it again. Once these are injured you will have to baby them for some time. Remember the cuff is torn and if it's sore at all don't do anything with it yet.
