I do yoga in the evening. There are quite a few poses that will circulate your blood so you can go to sleep easier. It evens out your breath and heart rate, while stretching out any tensions before you go to bed.
There are quite a few websites out there that show you different poses, but I've attached the ones I use most.
You may also want to just take a few classes to get the hang of it and then try it on your own. Have fun!

Just slowly work yourself to bed sooner a little at a time, if you're lying in bed doing something relaxing on a regular basis and make it a routine, then you should slowly be able to calm down easier. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, so try it out and see how it works. =)

Are you consuming lots of caffeine or sugar late in the day, (or up to 6 hours before bedtime?) Cut it out of your diet, that's a big reason people have trouble getting to sleep.
