my sister lives far away from here with my mother, and she has run away. she also has a bad criminal record. you wouldnt realize the rights this girl has. she has been arrested for car theft, using faulse identity for an arrest, prostitution twice, and still manages to have the law on her side. she has gotten slaps on the wrist, and she has a trial date 2 months from now. the judge said he has no grounds to hold her, but has ordered her to stay at my moms house and listen to her orders until trial. she straight up said she is going to run away again, and there is nothing we can do. if she does run again, she will be in trouble if caught. but that is the thing. if she gets caught. she may, she may not. i am afraid for what can happen to her considering the lifestyle she leads. she has more rights than i could ever imagine, and no one will help. any suggestions???

nobody can really do much, it is up to her to want to change for d better then she s=can get help. d annoying and baffling thing about western countries is that d system spoils kids by making them think d have so much rights and that is why their youths are really falling by d way side

I do feel for you.Unfortunately this seems to be a regular occurrence for teens in this day and age. I must put the blame on the government and it's archive Laws. It's one Law for the Bad and another for the good, and yes your right, criminals etc do have more rights than most good.
As for suggestions to help in your situation, What was the problem in the beginning that made her runaway in the first [place.??
I don't know what the laws are in your country, but here in Australia, we have what you call a home for wayward children.
The age ranges from 9 to18yrs. They are sent to farms etc to manual labour also they have trips to help with there self respect.
Its very long and involved and pretty much speaks for itself. Believe me it works. Great idea. However this doesn't fix your problem. i don't suppose sitting down and having chat with her to find out what the real problem is.
Otherwise the only alternatively is Inside (woman's prison)

Sounds like the judge is a jerk. Did she do time for prostitution or car theft? Judges can and do make decisions in the case of minors to have them put in foster care, put them in jail, or put a ankle bracelet on her that will alert the authorities if she travels more than 100 yards from her mom's home.

It also sounds like she should be in therapy to find out why she has this need to act out the way she is.

She'll get caught; she's been caught multiple times before, she will be again. The best thing you can do is let her suffer the consequences of her actions, while letting her know you care. Don't let her mess up your life.
I would be worried too, but you can't control her. One good sign is that she wants to be caught. (If she didn't, she wouldn't be.) Perhaps as she matures, she will decide stop playing this game.

She's gonna do what she's gonna do until she bottoms out. Love her and let her slide down the slope. Then be there to help her climb out.
