i have thick dark brown hair that reaches a little below my chest, hazel eyes and im ready to do something different with my hair, does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do?

Don't cut it or else you'll regret it. Don't get a perm or else you'll get a fuzzy mess that will end up making you mad.
My greatest advice is to try to mix it up a little, so here are some styles:
Try putting your hair up in a messy bun with a scrunchy since it will give extra material. Also, adding a matching headband will make it really cute.
Try letting your hair down and putting in a cloth headband or a thick plastic headband.
Braided pigtails with your bangs (or front hair) back works good. To get your bangs like that, take the front bangs, hair spray 'em, blow dry them for extra oomf, then pin it back with a little puff on top.
Put your hair up in curlers before bed and take them out in the morning. Lightly spray with some hairspray and seperate the curls with your fingers. If they look weird, don't worry--they just need to get some air. They'll look movie-star famulous in an hour.
Try taking a shower in the morning, dry your hair really well, then spritz with salt water. This will give you a back-from-the-beach look and that good-messy style. Just let your hair air dry after that.
Try to stay away from straightening your hair or using heat since it causes damage (I learned that the hard way).
Use a curling shampoo, then let your hair air dry. This will give you plenty of body and fun-ness.
If you have any cute little bows, try taking back some of your hair at the front, then using the bows to set it back. Just like clippies, but with bows.
Put your hair in a low ponytail, then use a large clip to bring up your head so that the ends of your hair hang over the rest of the ponytail.
