Rebellion and disobedience are such redeeming virtues that it's my earnest desire that somehow muslims learn to develop and cultivate the virtue of questioning their leaders so as to unleash something like a reformation movement within their ranks. I cannot accept that human beings sheeplishly allow themselves to be coerced and manipulated. Am I pouring my personal worldviews upon them? Perhaps I am, but we cannot go on fearing them and holding back laughter and fellowship.

It's not Islam that needs transformed, it's the Muslims. If Muslims were to correct our manners and the way we behaved and how we percieved the Qur'an, we wouldn't have so many troubles in the ummah. The Ottoman Empire was such a successful establishment because they still had Islam fresh in their spirits. Now people don't see it as so and have lost touch and are drenched in corruption. Just as true Christianity would invigorate the Christians, true Islam can invigorate the Muslims.
FYI: Wafa Sultan is not a Muslim. She says in the video "We as Muslims," however in another video she says of herself that she is neither Christian, Muslim nor Jew. If you click on the link, she says it right around minute 3:12. I didn't trust her from the first video, and now after seeing yours I trust her even less. I would much rather lean towards the teachings of a modernized Egyptian cleric who's words are really reaching out to the youth especially. I really can't remember his name now but I'll definitely come back if it comes to mind, lol.
