Every one in a while another one comes out of the woodwork, like this latest guy, who's an alcoholic and pedophile too. Their rethoric is just like the preacher who says homosexuality is sin then molests an alter boy.
Now I'm 100% for gay rights, marriage and all, but I wonder why these guys preach so hard against the gay lifestyle if that's who they really are? Has religion scared them so much to think they'll go to hell, so if they make gayness illegal, they won't break the law and thus not sin?
It's beyond my understanding, but here's to all gay republicans and fundamentalists coming out of the closet. Flush your bibles and accept your sexuality. http://flushaholybook.com

It's not really that hard to understand. God makes it pretty simple that even the most basic of people can understand. Unless you are mentally disabled then you also can understand. But it's not a question of understanding but a question of accepting. God says we stink to the high heavens because of our sins against Him. We were born in sin and do nothing but sin all day long. And guess what? We're going to sin again tomorrow. That is if the LORD is merciful enough to allow us another day under the sun.
We all deserve eternity in Hell and it's not just the preacher or Fundamentalist but everybody for all time that ever existed on this planet. Lest you understand this, or come to the grips of this reality then you have no need for a savior and God cuts you loose to work all kinds of evil under the sun. But be forewarned. There is a God and he is holy, righteous, and extremely powerful. He created Hell for the devil and fallen angels and does not want to cast you there as well. Therefore He is merciful, and long suffering and loving in that He became a man in order to save us from our sins. Jesus took the full cup of God's wrath by suffering and dying for us on the cross. He did this to reconcile a right relationship with us so that we could be with Him forever in heaven. If you believe on Jesus you will be saved. But you have to acknowledge your sins and realize what you are: a sinner in need of forgiveness. You need to repent of your sins and trust Jesus to save you from Hell and eternal damnation. It's the real deal. Hopefully you'll come to understand this and enter into the way, the truth and the life.

I tend to find that the more a person is completely emotionally and out of control against something means that they are so frightened by it because they HAVE those tendencies. I don't get all emotional over gay rights because I'm straight as hell and don't feel threatened by anyone else's sexuality. Kinda like the next door neighbor in American Beauty - Nazi, marine, hard dude - and he's gay.

Because by pretending to hate homosexuality they make a very nice shelter for themselves. If you are gay and claim that you hate gays no one will ever assume that you are one.
It is a fact that most people who bash homosexuals are homosexuals indeed. They hate the fact that other homosexuals embraced their sexuality and live happily, while they are stuck with a wife they dont like at all and they would prefer a boy in leather instead. I am sure Bush is giving himself some boy candy too.

History has shown that many of the people who have been so fervently outspoken against homosexuality were doing so to compensate for their own inner struggles with their homosexual identity. Gay people are everywhere and who cares? It's the people that follow zealots like this that simply do not have a mind of their own we should all be afraid of!

I think his alcoholism is a red herring.
Anyhow, yes, I think the most rabid homophobes are suppressed homosexuals. However, homosexuality isn't the same thing as pedophilia.
